PERSONALITY gabe is horribly pessimistic and struggles to see the good in most situations. despite his privileges and luck to have such a lucrative career in what is supposedly his passion, he is unable to move past his traumatic upbringing and the abuse he endured. it eats at him so deeply that he drowns it in drugs and alcohol. however, he's also terrified of vulnerability so he hides all of this beneath a sardonic and smarmy exterior.

born and raised in small-town mississippi, gabe always knew he was meant to be someone else. the humble southern life wasn't for him, and when his mother passed, leaving a grief-stricken pair of brothers alone with their violently alcoholic and abusive father, gabe decided it was time to leave that life behind. he packed up and hitch-hiked to new york, where he'd spend a year couch surfing, busking, and working as many cheap gigs as he could before his now-manager, kat campbell, finally discovered him. with her help, gabe became a sensation in a few short years, leaving mississippi - all its countless horrors and the boy he once might've been - behind.
